Plot Quickie:
Ran meets a mysterious girl, falls in love, and fights for survival in a
world conquered by an alien force and made largely devoid of water (and,
hence, life).

Thanks to the Japanese for once again breaking barriers. Ran's world
is an environmental dystopia, and his quest (and friends) are never clear.
My gripes:
A bit slow - Ran is a long movie, taking its time to unwind.
