Comments:
Maris the Chojo (originally titled Supergal, but renamed due to potential
trademark problems...) is, in contrast to the rest of the Rumic World
series, a light comedy. Maris is a down-and-out, over-strengthed gal
trying to work off her debts with an interplanetary security agency.
Too bad she and her family keep forgetting their own strength! The
show is full of in-jokes and movie spoofs. Don't tune out during the end
credits - Maris does Jackie Chan's ending bloopers proud.
My gripes:
Um, none. If this were serious, I'd gripe about the animation. But
it's not, so I'm not - it's better than an SD film.
My likes:
All the spoofs and in-jokes. As I watch more and more anime, I keep
seeing more and more in-jokes in this movie. The slapstick isn't bad,
either.
